Refresher Revalidation First Aid Course Outline
Refresh your First Aid knowledge, and revalidate your certificate gained within the last two years.

Course
Outline
Course Length: 6 hours
- Primary scene assessment
- Victim assessment
- CPR in adults, children and infants
- Bleeding and Shock, Head and Spinal Injuries, Fractures with Complications, Anaphylaxis, Hot and Cold Emergencies.
A Review of:
- Burns, Poisoning, Soft Tissue Injuries.
- Seizures, Diabetic Emergencies, Asthma, Heart Attacks and Strokes.
Prerequisites
- Successful completion of our Comprehensive First Aid Course or an Everyday First Aid Course or equivalent from another provider within the last 2 years
- English language proficiency
- Physical agility (bending and kneeling)
Unit Standards
No Unit Standards are achieved by attending this session. If you have previously achieved them, the following standards are revalidated by attending this session:
- 6402: Provide basic life support
- 6401: Provide first aid
- 6400: Manage first aid in an emergency situation

Designated workplace first aiders who need to renew their certificate, which must be completed at least every two years.
