  • Primary scene assessment
  • Scene management
  • Victim assessment
  • Stable side position
  • CPR & AED use in adults, children and infants
  • Choking in adults, children and infants
  • Bleeding and shock

Unit Standards

Assessment against NZQA Unit Standards

  • 6402: Provide basic life support

Prerequisites

  • English language proficiency
  • Physical agility (bending and kneeling)
